Deuteronomy 31:6

Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave or forsake you.”

As the Lord would say, “Write these words on the tablet of your heart.” Memorize these words, carry them, know them, use them.

Do not be afraid because of them! Who is Them? When this text was written, God was talking to the Israelites about the people who possessed the land of milk and honey! To the Israelites, they appeared to be giants, making the Jews feel the size of grasshoppers. We all have “THEM’s.” They could be debt, health, mental anguish, depression, fear, divorce, death of a spouse, loss of a job, food, drugs, alcohol or pornography. What ever has you in a state of fear; whether that fear is facing that giant because it’s to big and scary or fear of losing that something familiar. Do Not Be Afraid Of Them!

For the Lord your God goes with you! So this tells us no matter what we are facing, we aren’t facing it alone. He is already aware of your situation and battle, arm yourself with the armor and take care of business. (The Armor of God is found in Ephesians 6:11)

He will never leave or forsake you! Another word for “forsake” is abandoned. Have you been left for another? We’re you abandoned as a child? Have you ever been overlooked or forgotten? Sure, in one form or another, we all have. Read the writing in bold again! The word NEVER is in there and God NEVER lies, his word always comes to pass!

So, the next time a giant enters your scope, and fear and retreat are the first impulse. Stop, turn around and stand firm with your feet fitted with the gospel of peace, put on your helmet of salvation, strap on your breastplate of righteousness, buckle up with the belt of truth. Pick up your shield of faith and wield your sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. Then go to battle with the Lord right in front of, beside and behind you!

Gods got you; You’ve got this!!! Be blessed, try and bless someone today and as always, Thank you for joining me. 🥰

Tiny Green Buds…

Mother nature has been in a mood lately. We wake up to a frozen winter wonderland with no electricity one morning only for a few days later the sun to be shining and the hint of spring peeking out!

Our poor foliage doesn’t know what to do. However, these springtime days have many of us ready to be outside again, to enjoy the fresh air and the sunshine on our faces.

When I think of springtime and tiny green buds that will blossom into beautiful flowers, I think of Numbers chapter 17; to me, this is one of the most incredible visuals and displays of God in the Bible. Sure the parting of the Red Sea is magnificent. Still, I love this simple, quiet picture that speaks so loudly.

The scene takes place in the desert; Jews are once again grumbling, as we know Jews love to do (I’m a Jew, so that I can say 😉). Some of the tribal leaders are questioning why Moses and his brother Aaron have all the authority!

So upon God’s direction, Moses has each leader of their ancestral tribe bring him a staff, then God instructed Moses to write each leader’s name upon their individual staff.

Numbers 17:3-5 NIV “On the staff of Levi write Aarons name, for there must be one staff for the head of each ancestral tribe. Place them in the Tent of Meeting in front of the Testimony, where I meet with you. The staff belonging to the man I choose will sprout, and I will rid myself of this constant grumbling against you by the Israelites.”

Numbers 17:8-9 NIV “The next day Moses entered the Tent of the Testimony and saw that Aaron’s staff, which represented the house of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds. Then Moses brought out all the staffs from the Lord’s presence to all the Israelites.”

I love this Scripture; God is so grand. He shows us his love and presence in so many ways; from the most extravagant displays to the simplest quiet moments, He is there! He is with us!

So possibly the next time you see little buds on a tree limb, knowing a beautiful flower will follow, you might be reminded of God’s glorious display on Aarons staff.

I hope you were blessed by one of the great stories held within the pages of the Bible. I pray for you a blessed day and thank you for joining me. 🥰

It’s Just A Game…

It started as just another game. I enjoy a game or two on my Ipad, they come and they go! This game started immediately with many facets, which I enjoy. There’s a great storyline to follow, hidden objects, timed events, only this game added the fun of creating and decorating an Island, time era the 1920’s and offered a coffee lounge.

A lounge, this is where it gets interesting. This game has a coffee lounge and teams you can join, upon joining a team and meeting for coffee, you receive energy, and you can chat back and forth with teammates. Time goes by and long story short I create my own team!

I pray about everything and I mean everything so of course I prayed about members and new members. You might not think God is or would be interested in my video game and coffee chat room! I’m here to tell you he is interested in every aspect of our lives, and if we invite him to share our world, he will do just that!

I have been blessed with an amazing group of women. There are fifteen of us total, many of us retired but we have three nurses, who we watch play when they can and then go for days and not see them due to covid and their grueling schedules. I have a woman who suffers from a bone disease and her bones are dissolving, her spine is now metal and she suffers much pain. I have a beautiful soul who fights MS everyday, one gal is losing her daddy to a heart disease. A mama who takes care of her son who was severely wounded defending our country. I have a feisty 71 one year old who does ballroom competitions and tears up the dance floor; what an inspiration these women are!

We live in Oregon, Texas, California, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, Canada, and Ireland. The reason I bring up this crazy group of women is I know in my heart God brought us together; we meet daily, share the game and our lives. We go by our game names, and we don’t bring politics or the world onto our island retreat.

We share our tears and our joys; we laugh, joke, and tease our way out of any hardship the day might have brought to one or two of us. We have become such a valuable source of friendship and support to each other and why is that? It’s just a game!!! Because God is one of our honorable teammates, we hold each other up in prayer. We are a crazy bunch of gals from different corners of the world sharing our love and need of God in our lives. Being there for each other, 15 strangers now bonded by a spirit of love and friendship.

Matthew 18:20 NIV “For when two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

So, at 3 pm, pst (for me)…I meet with 14 crazy, fun, God-loving women, and God meets with us. If you take God with you when you go, invite him to be a part of your world and activities you might be surprised by the people you will meet. God desires to be an active part of our daily lives, all you have to do is ask!

Thank you for meeting me each day, and you bless me by many I now follow…I have a Portland designer, for example, I’ve never met, but I feel a connection with because of this blog, hers, and merely exchanging messages of kindness here and there! Stay open; God’s full of surprises. Be blessed, try and be a blessing and as always thank-you for joining me. 🥰

A Funk…

Do you ever wake up down? (I love oxymorons) Mornings aren’t my strong suit anyway, but what about those mornings you wake up to nothing wrong but feel upside down.

Possibly you are going through a period in your life where everything just feels off! Sort of like existing in neutral no real highs barely above low.

You might have some idea at the root of your funk, or you’re wandering around your life; all seems normal, and you are simply confused about the grey cloud that is hovering and why.

I am there. I am in a funk! I am a Christian, and I walk by faith and not by sight. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior! I know when I stand on the banks of the rushing river that I will not be overtaken. I know that one day when I pass from this earth, I will wake in Heaven. I know that my Lord supplies all my needs. I know he will never leave or forsake me. I know I am loved and never alone! So why so down, oh my soul.

Who knows, bad dream last night I can’t remember! The world has many demands, and sometimes they just all catch up and feel like a big pile of dirty laundry. Whatever the case, whatever the emotion or mood, I need to realize precisely what it is; an emotion, a mood!

Time to climb out from under the pile and set at the foot of the cross and just visit with Jesus for a while, asking the Holy Spirit to fill me with his freshness and to remove the mildew. I may have to pray this prayer more than once and possibly throughout the day, but you know what? At some point, I will notice that my frown is upside down 😉

Don’t discredit moods or emotions; many are there because of something you are experiencing. Some are just in the air; the thing is, they are there and real, but you don’t have to keep them! Thank you for joining me today; I’m at the foot of the cross; meet you there! 🥰

He Rested…

Genesis 2:2 NIV “By the seventh day God finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from his work.”

If you’ve followed me very long, you know I love Sundays. The Lords Day! It’s the day of the week we are instructed to rest, not just our bodies but our minds and spirits.

I must admit I’ve gotten a bit lazy since Covid, my makeup application is nil, my travels and adventures have slowed down immensely but church has gotten better!!!

I belong to Calvary Galveston, http://www.calvarygalveston.com … Since Texas is Central Time and I am Pacific Time, they are two hours ahead of me; I meet Pastor James at 8:00 a.m. (p.s.t) On my couch in my nightgown and receive teachings straight from the Bible and refreshment for my tired soul.

Life is busy, our bodies always seem to be in motion, our minds don’t ever appear to click to the off position, society has made it feels a bit lazy to shut ourselves down, but that’s precisely what we need to do. Even if you can only find an hour or two, grab them, treat yourself, go to a favorite spot and give yourself some quiet time, open your Bible, say a short prayer asking for help relaxing, sit back, and close your eyes, and practice at letting yourself be still. It’s amazing the sense of peace you will receive by just opening the Bible and letting the air of God gently envelop you! Try it, it’s amazing!

I pray a day of rest for you, rest in your body, calm in your mind and peace in your spirit. Take the day off, you deserve it and God thinks so too!!! Be blessed and thank you for joining me, I need to refill my coffee cup, and plug in my I pad; church is about to start; I hope to see you there! 🥰

Be Ready For Battle…

As a General or Commander In Charge, you would never head into a battle without knowing who your opponent was! Would You?

As a coach, you wouldn’t ignore the other team’s abilities and strengths? Would You?

No, of course, you wouldn’t; you would have studied their styles, techniques, strategies, how they attack, and wherein their power derives! You would go into battle prepared!!!

Yet, that’s precisely what we do every day. We wake up, start our day, head out the door into the world, the rat race we call life. There are battles everywhere, health battles, political battles, price battles, workplace battles, road rage battles, children, and spousal battles, etc…but what about the battles we can’t see?

Ephesians 6:12 NCV “Our fight is not against people on earth but against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world’s darkness, against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly world.”

Satan has a network of demons out there working as hard to destroy you and your peace as God has his angels surrounding you. You need to know who your adversary is, his tricks, lies and HIS STRATEGY!!!

He knows YOU! He knows your weaknesses, your fears, your doubts. He knows the spaces you are empty and how to fill those dank places. Are you longing to be loved? Do you crave success? Do you just want someone to notice all you do? There is a whole network of substitutes for the peace and wholeness that come from a relationship with Jesus. Be careful with what you fill those caverns and to the voices whispering in your head.

Be aware of your soft spots, your weaknesses, your places of vulnerability because Satan has a strategy too! Are you being attacked? Do your thoughts resemble or feel, cold, foreboding, scary, too hard, worthless, or stupid? If you answered yes to any of these emotions, chances are you are under attack.

Satan doesn’t want you to know about God’s love, his victory, the healing balm of his Holy Spirit in your life, so he lies to keep you down. Remember the concordance I always talk about? Get out your Bible and look up scriptures pertaining to Satan, learn his ways and how he prowls around looking to seek and destroy. God wants us aware of our enemy and has a given us all the tools we need. His Word!

1 Peter 5:8 NIV “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

A simple prayer for attacks: Dear God, in the name of Jesus Christ, I bind these emotions and thoughts coming from the dark, and I release the refreshing calm of the Holy Spirit to cover me. What I bind on earth is bound in Heaven and what I loose on earth is released in Heaven. Thank you in your Glorious Name I pray…Amen!

Just now, God’s team of mighty protection surrounds you, and the dark imps flee! Trust me on this…at Jesus’ name every knee shall bow.

Philippians 2:10-11 NKJV “That at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of those in heaven, and those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”

Know your adversary it’s a battle out here! Be blessed today and thank you for joining me. 🥰

Wherever I Am!!!

Philippians 4:11-13 NCV “ I am not telling you this because I need anything. I have learned to be satisfied with the things I have and with everything that happens. I know how to live when I am poor, and I know how to live when I have plenty. I have learned the secret of being happy at any time in everything that happens, when I have enough to eat and when I go hungry, when I have more than I need and when I do not have enough. I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength.”

What the apostle Paul is writing about here is contentment. Contentment in the Lord, knowing that where he has you at this very moment is where he wants you.

We will have many seasons in our lives, and we glean from each one of them, growing us and preparing us for the next chapters to come. I was a single mom of three for many years. I knew struggles, trials, exhaustion, minimal means, and a whole lot of love, laughter, and a special relationship with my children that is still strong today.

Twenty years ago, I married! I have a husband who worked very hard and provides a comfortable lifestyle. I was freed from many of the worries associated with being a single mother to being a wife with teenagers and a new stepfather/husband. I went from having not much with trials and tribulations to have much with trials and tribulations. The key Paul is talking about is, wherever you find yourself, find yourself in the Lord’s presence, and peace and contentment will follow.

Contentment is finding and making the best of what and where you are right now. Does that mean you stay there, give up dreams, desires, hopes, and steps forward? No, not at all, neither is it an excuse to be a lazy sloth.

The Lord asks us to trust him, learn from him, to follow him! To destinations unknown, paths less traveled, and roads yet to be explored. He’s got you, relax and enjoy the scenery… it’s but another leg of the adventure.

Be blessed, be a blessing, and wherever you are, this is a season. Enjoy your day and as always, Thank you for joining me. 🥰

Thank You For Loving Me…

God loves you. Did you know that? You! Just you, just the way you are!

Has the world cast you aside? Do you get overlooked at every job promotion? Did they forget your invitation to the party? Were you the last one standing when teams were picked? Are you invisible?

Did you know God knew you before you were even born? Yes, that’s right, you! Jeremiah 1:5a NCV “Before I made you in your mother’s womb, I chose you.”

Isaiah 43:4an NCV “Because you are precious to me, because I give you honor and love you.”

1 John 4:19 ESV “We love because he first loved us.”

John 15:13 ESV “Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends.”

John 3:16 ESV “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

So, the next time you hear the lies whispered within, that you are unlovable, unloved, discarded, a cast-off, not worthy, a mistake, an accident, or any of the ugly adjectives Satan loves to use, pick up your sword of the spirit which is the word of God and guard yourself with his shield of faith, its a battle of the mind…fight back!!!

Isaiah 41:10 ESV “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous hand.”

Remember, you are chosen, you are redeemed, you are known, you are noticed, you are protected and best of all YOU ARE LOVED!!! Be blessed today and thank you for joining me. 🥰

God’s Radiance…

God’s Radiance sounds like a heavenly facial cream.

Exodus 34:29 NIV “When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord.”

The definition of radiance; light or heat as emitted or reflected by something—a glowing quality of the skin.

Hebrew 1:3 NIV “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being.”

We too can be a reflection of our Lord. When we find our place within him, and he grows within us, we begin a transformation, and soon, we possess that heavenly glow that shines from within.

Matthew 5:16 NIV “In the same way let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

Daniel 12:3 NIV “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”

Philippians 2:15 NCV “Then you will be innocent and without any wrong. You will be God’s children without fault. But you are living with crooked and mean people all around you, among whom you shine like stars in the dark world.”

I want to be a Philippians 2:15 woman…I want to shine brightly in a world of darkness. I want people to look at me and want what I have. No, not my outfit, shoes, purse, car, or house. I want them to notice my glow, my peace, my smile. I want to reflect buoyancy, and a walk that announces security in my being. I wish to appear breezy, airy, cool, calm and collected.

Might I feel all of these everyday? No! I live in society too and have the same amount of trials and tribulations as everyone else it’s how I choose to handle any said situation and whether I carry the load or I hand it over to Jesus, and let him take it! I hand it over! How about you?

So if you know someone, work with someone, or are in a position to observe and notice specific individuals who seem to glow, have it pretty well put together and handle storms as they arise! Good chance they put on their Godly Radiance every morning.

A clay jar containing your radiance cream is held within the pages of your Bible. Crack it open and give it a try; it feels so refreshing and is heavenly soothing. Be blessed today and try and be a blessing. Thank you for joining me. 🥰

Powerful Positions Need Prayer!

1 Timothy 2:1-3 NIV “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-for kings, and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior.”

We are in a time where we need to be praying mightily for our spiritual leaders! We need to be supporting the laws of righteousness governing our land and praying against the destruction that is becoming a way of life.

We as Christians have certain obligations and one of those is praying the will of God over our leaders. Slowly Christ is being removed from the very foundations we were built on. This is not a time to stand around with our eyes wide open in shock and disbelief but to gird our selves with our spiritual armor and do some battling.

Romans 13:7 ESV “Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.”

Respect to whom respect is owed! Just because someone may hold a prestigious title doesn’t mean he is automatically due respect, respect is earned but we are told to pray for the individual in office. Pray for them: clarity, discernment, strength, direction and wisdom.

Honor to whom honor is owed! Honor is a badge we all can wear proudly. To receive honor one must be honorable, no title required, no votes into office, nor due to a name bestowed at birth. It’s a standard of conduct within oneself, adhering to what is right even when that makes you seem very wrong!

So, do I feel respect and honor for some of those in high offices personally? No! Do I need to respect that for whatever reason unfathomable to me God allowed certain offices to be filled by certain individuals? Yes! Am I instructed to pray for said individuals? Yes, but again, prayers of righteousness and God’s will. He uses many of us tools to usher in his words and plans. Gods got this. We just need to hang on, keep our faith, and pray, pray, pray!

Thank you for joining me this morning. I pray you have a most blessed day and sunshine in your spirit! 🥰
