Two or Three…

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NLT “Two people are better off then one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back to back and conquer. Three are even better, for the triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”

The Bible starts and ends with the Lord and companionship. The scriptures reveal throughout the Bible the Lord’s desire for his people to gather, become strong together, building and holding each other up.

There has been too much isolation these past couple of years and we are discovering how much of our social skills became dusty and almost foreign. We find ourselves having to adjust to the public and crowds, something that we just took for granted.

I am a bit of a loner and it’s hard for me to ask for help! This isn’t overly healthy or smart! We just read where God instructs us to reach out, ask for help, turn to friends and family!

We are meant to have communication with our Lord in heaven and with our neighbors. Special people in our world who are there with an open ear, a receiving heart and a gentle word or touch.

Is your load too heavy? Is your world to quiet? Too much darkness and cold? Lost, confused, depressed, lonely, heartbroken or just sort of sad? We live in a world of technology, get online find a church, I have many I’d love to suggest if you’re interested send me a message. There are AA or NA meetings online, book clubs, games with teams you can join and start belonging too. If you need it, use the search bar and find it! If you are experiencing it, you can be assured others are too and theirs a chat room just for that need or topic. In todays world you don’t even need to leave the comfort of your home to reach out and start making a connection.

Matthew 18:20 NIV “For when two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.”

And it doesn’t get much better than that!

Be blessed today, reach out and look up! Thank you for joining me. 🥰

Today I Pray…

Dear God,

I write to you this morning regarding changes.

The weather is changing and old man winter is moving in. The night skies appear in the afternoon now and an extra blanket or two are needed.

A virus has spread throughout the world, changing everything and everyone in its wake.

The people voted in or that’s what we’re being told a president who has put us back in poverty because once again prices of everything have skyrocketed and sadly some are once again having to decide medication over food! Families are living in tents and cars.

Your word Lord is being watered down and distorted to appease the generation of trophy kids. The new world ways give a prize just because you showed up, no effort is needed. Now that has followed into their workplace and attitudes. I demand a paycheck but don’t feel required to put out any effort. The you’re lucky I showed up attitude!

A new world where the past is no longer history but another excuse to hate. You can’t rewrite yesterday but they are trying. The pagan practices in the old testament that you detested seem to be back on the rise.

No one wants to hear the truth anymore; it’s all ok, I’m ok, you’re ok we’re ok but we’re not Lord. You are being taught to be the God everyone wants but not the God who is!

Your word tells us who you are and what you are! But the agenda doesn’t have a place for you, your teachings, or instructions because that requires discipline, responsibility, accountability, and change. But that isn’t the change everyone is looking for something much easier with less dedication and reflection is the new mode of operation.

I watch the evening news Lord in fear and dismay at what is happening outside my door. Yet, I know also that you have many warriors out there doing all they can to promote your light against the permeating darkness.

Give us your strength Lord, let our voices be loud, our examples be shining and our walk, peace, and lives look pleasing to the outside world. Help us to be that inviting door full of warmth, to usher those in from the cold.

As much as I hate the many ways of today, I also know that this has to come into play as we watch prophesy being fulfilled. Be with us your children as we walk, talk and practice. In your name Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen

Thank you for sharing a bit of your day with me. Thank you for being a warrior! Be blessed today our Lord’s day of rest. I hope you get some! 🥰

Everything…

Philippians 4:6 NLT “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

1 Peter 5:7 NLT “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”

According to Merriam-Webster the word ‘everything’ is defined as all that exists; all that is important; all sorts of other things-used to indicate related but unspecific events, facts, or conditions.

Simply put if you; care about it, dream about it, long for it, hope for it, need it, are concerned about, questioning, wandering, or just lonely put it to prayer.

Prayer is nothing more than and nothing short of, visiting with God. Talking to him about everything and nothing. He cares about our trials and woes and is there to hold and help but He also loves to hear our thankfulness, our exclamations of joy and awe at the beauty of his landscapes, or the paintings he displays in our skies above.

To rejoice when we experience his unending power in the pounding waves of the ocean. To sense and feel his grandeur amongst the majestic trees of the forests. To experience the joy that bubbles up within at the tumbling brooks, buzzing bees, and the gentle breeze whispering through your hair.

The Lord created us to have communion with him and he with us, before Adam and Eve fell from grace, God would come down in the evening and walk and talk with them.

Genesis 3:8 KJV “And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.”

They hid because they had tasted the forbidden fruit and sin had entered the perfect world God had intended. Not my point this morning but one that can’t be ignored, ‘they hid’ which is exactly what sin wants us to do, hide from God. But don’t, he’s there to hear that prayer too asking for forgiveness, grace, and mercy.

Our Lord is the best friend you can and could ever have. Start a conversation with him today about anything I think you’ll be surprised to find, He answers.

Be blessed today and be a blessing. Thank you for joining me. 🥰

Whatever…

We’ve all used this word countless times and usually at least for me it’s in a negative connotation. “Yeah, whatever!”

Oxford Languages defines the word; to emphasize a lack of restriction in referring to anything or amount, no matter what!

Cambridge Dictionary defines it as; it is not important what is; it makes no difference what (is)!

The word whatever is usually heard from the back of one’s head, leaving the room, making an exclamation or point of indifference. I hear you, I don’t care ~ whatever!!!

Or in other words, ‘not interested’

But…

What if we took a different approach to this word!

Whatever Lord!!!

Whatever you want to teach me!

Whatever you wish to show me!

Whatever you wish for me to learn and or share!

Whatever path you have planned for me!

Whatever heart you desire for me to have!

Whatever you wish to create within and out of me!

Whatever Lord, I am yours!

Be blessed today and I hope whatever comes your way today is beautiful. Thank you for sharing some time with me today! 🥰

Heaviness…

Father God,

I feel heavy this morning and don’t know why?

Possibly the nightly news, a few more killings, a few more deaths, a few more home invasions and a slew of stolen cars.

Neighborhoods are being overrun with homeless campsites bringing with them filth, drug use, paraphernalia, and dealings. Broken down vehicles, rodents, theft, abuse, and fighting. The fear for those who are paying their mortgages and taxes, forced to live amongst this abomination because they are receiving no help. Truth is, no one knows what to do so they do nothing.

On the flip side, those who have no homes, no one, nowhere! Many need medical attention and or medication. A hand-up, not a handout! The families that have fallen on hard times, victims of circumstances. Life got too big and they became too small. A business closure, a factory shut down, a wrong decision or two creating the avalanche of destruction, and now what?

Lord, we are a mess down here. We need you more than ever before, and yet you have been made to feel unwelcome. Is it any wonder that we find ourselves in such a dire time as today.

You have been ushered out and the darkness has been welcomed.

I ask for your presence God to cover our land, I ask for your hand of protection over your children, those same children who are anxiously awaiting your return.

Prophesies are being fulfilled before our very eyes and the events foretold are starting to unravel. I pray for those who slightly know you to come full circle and receive your fullness. I pray for the blind that they may come to see you and for the deaf that they may hear and accept your words of salvation.

I pray for a clean sweep in our government, starting from the White House right down to our local city officials. I pray for truth to be spoken not the agendas and lies of the world.

I pray for boldness in your children, to speak up, speak out, and speak against. To speak the truth even when the truth isn’t wanted or appreciated. Give us the strength to be your examples, that our actions speak loudly when our words can’t.

Help us to be true to ourselves and you. In your name Lord Jesus, I humbly pray. Amen

I hope you will join me in praying for our nation, our states, our counties, our cities. People are in so much need and our world is in big trouble. We need prayer warriors I hope you will join me and thank you for joining me today. 🥰

Quiet Please…

I picture a librarian index finger to lips followed by a shhhh!

That’s not quite the quiet I’m seeking even though the older I get the more I appreciate quiet and calm however the quiet I long for comes from inside, from my faith, from the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 26:3 ESV “You keep him in perfect peace who’s mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”

Zephaniah 3:17 ESV “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”

A mighty one who saves! Saves our souls, saves us from drowning in the pits we create, saves us from the enemy who is in constant prowl to devour, saves us from our trials and tribulations, and is the light in our darkness.

God, will rejoice over you…exult over you with loud singing! The definition of ‘exult’ is to hold something or someone in high regard; to think of or speak highly of…

God, rejoicing over us! Holding us in high regard! Thinking and speaking highly of us exclaiming with loud singing!

Think about that, aren’t those the same instructions we are given on how to worship God? To think that he loves us to the depth that’s kinship to worship! That is a deep and powerful love!

He will quiet you with his love! I saved this part of the scripture for last. I wanted to point out the depth of love, our Lord has for us, depth to the point of death. When you love that hard, when you are loved that hard; you can walk in quiet peace knowing that you don’t ever walk alone.

Dear Lord, I thank you for your love, a love so deep and perfect that I in my human form and mind can not truly comprehend. I do know the love I have for my children and my Children’s children, the depth I would go for them and that doesn’t even come close to the love and protection you offer. I thank you, Lord, for every day helping me to realize how much I mean to you thus helping me to live in your safe, peaceful quiet. Thank you for the quiet. In your name Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen

If your world is crazy, unsettled, and way too loud seek a quiet spot and lay down your cares and noise at the foot of the throne, thanking God for his help, them let go, and Let God!!!

Be blessed, be a blessing, and thank you for joining me. 🥰

It’s Never To Late…

Thank you Lord…that it’s never to late!

I’m in the book of Ezekiel and you have warned and warned and warned the Israelites of their pending doom if they don’t change their practices and ways of thinking.

They had turned their backs on you and your teachings. They spent all their time and energy worshipping false gods made of wood and stone. They lied to themselves and each other, stating “God would never destroy us, we are his chosen nation, his holy people.”

These words and attitudes were recorded in the time era of around 593 and 571 B.C. ~ fast forward to the time era 2021 A.D.

The idols are money, fame, notoriety, titles, toys, big homes, and fancy cars. The attitudes are live for today, an eye for an eye, the one with the most wins, I’m sorry if they got hurt, they got in the way. It’s business it’s not personal!

As with the Israelites, life was good, food was plenty, worries were few until it wasn’t!

Lord, I feel like we are repeating the same mistakes. You have given us your words, blessed us with the ultimate sacrifice, your Son, Jesus Christ. He came to earth, lived as a man, suffered horribly, and left us with the keys to the kingdom.

Yet here we are racing down the freeways, hurrying and scurrying, hared and scared! Life is a crap shoot and everything is acceptable. If it feels good do it! I’m ok, you’re ok! We’re all ok, but are we?

Lord as in the days of the ancient prophets such as Jeremiah and Ezekiel, give us your strength to pray for our nation, our neighbors, our co-workers, our brothers, and sisters. Give us the prayers to awaken the blind eyes and open the deaf ears.

The day is quickly approaching where you will return our King and the mighty trumpets will sound and you will carry away your people as Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon did only we will be stolen away to heaven, not prison and servitude.

Lord, help us to make sure that we share your message, “that it’s never too late” you are right there just waiting. Help us to be the example of your children, we fall, we make mistakes, we are human too however help us to show that after the fall, like a loving parent you are there to pick us up, dust us off, set us straight and back on our feet again!

It’s never too late for forgiveness, it’s never too late for change, as long as we have a breath in our bodies, it’s never too late!

Lord Jesus, thank you for your sacrifice and love. Thank you that it’s never to late. Thank you for coming into my heart and being my Lord and Savior. Thank you for forgiving my sins and starting a fresh day with me holding your hand and you holding me. Walk with me and talk with me as I join you for eternity. In your glorious name I pray. Amen

Thank you for joining me and I hope you have a blessed week! 🥰

Today I Pray…

Dear Lord,

Today I pray for peace.

Quiet peace inside…

Peace that puts away the worries if only for today.

Peace that calms the waves of change and fears of the unknown that always accompany.

Peace that sets the to-do list down and allows mental and physical rest.

Peace that allows the frantic race to slow down to a gentle stroll.

Peace that allows the anger to reduce to a simmer.

Peace to live in the moment and let tomorrow unfold tomorrow.

Peace from the constant pain and discomfort due to disease and illness. Please Lord, let these bodies stop hurting long enough for solid rest and healing.

Peace from the minds that won’t shut down or off.

Peace within the wait of your hand within the answers to prayers said.

Peace in our homes, workplaces, relationships and children.

Peace that comes from you Holy Spirit, peace that surpasses all understanding.

I pray for your peace today Lord Jesus, our Prince of Peace and in your name I commit my words. Amen

Genesis 2:2 NLT “On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work.”

I pray you have a blessed, peaceful quiet day! Rest it does a body good! Thank you for joining me today. 🥰

The Armor of God…

Ephesians 6:10-18 NIV “Finally be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devils schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything to stand. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled to your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

In addition to this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit in all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

We are in the middle of major battles right now! Our world is at battle and the heavens are clashing! Now is the time to pay attention to the signs being shown and gear up and be strong! How?

Be Strong in the Lord ~ He instructs us to rely and be strong through him. When calamity strikes, Let God strike back. When trouble knocks on your door let Jesus answer it!

Put on your battle armor! Start with buckling the belt of truth around your waist. God’s word is living and breathing, it pertains to our situations today as much as it did a few thousand years ago. Get into his word, find out what God has to say about your situation and then start applying and believing it!

The breastplate of righteousness, the breastplate covers the heart, the very thing God cares about! We are made righteous through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ and when God looks at us he views us through the lens of righteousness. We belong to Gods heart!

Feet fitted with the gospel of peace, when we learn to cast our cares upon the Lord, because he cares for us. When we seek him and study his message we learn how to live and walk in a peace that surpasses all understanding.

The shield of faith, when we finally reach a place where we can trust in the words we hear and read. When we’ve been delivered a time or two, then the shield of faith blocks the poisonous darts of fear and doubt, it extinguishes the flaming arrows of lies and deceit from the evil one.

Helmet of Salvation, cover your head (mind) at all times with the grace of Salvation. You are a child of God, called by the most high to spend eternity with him. If you said yes when Jesus called you can know that you know, when your time comes and you close your earthly eyes, they will reopen to the glory of heaven and our Savior.

The sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. The Holy Spirit is a total bag of arsenal, He is the voice, the leadings and promptings, the quiet calm in the middle of a storm. He is the feel and touch from heaven. His spirit lovingly joins ours.

And pray in the spirit with all kinds of prayers and request! I talk to God about everything and so He is included in my everything’s. And to always pray for the Lord’s people.

Our battles are real whatever those battles may be, the Lord longs to walk beside you, fighting your battles for and with you! Will you let him? Will you put on his armor?

Be blessed today and as always, thank you for joining me. 🥰

Someone Left the Sprinklers On!

Good Morning Papa,

I think someone forgot to turn off the sprinklers up there!

When I was a little girl I used to think snow often looked like down being shaken from the angels wings…

Tornadoes were Gods vacuum cleaner that didn’t get turned off!

Clouds were giant cotton balls I dreamt of playing and bouncing on!

If you look close enough many flowers have faces and will smile back if you gaze at them long enough. The pappus head of the dandelion sends tiny wishes out to the cosmos when blowed upon.

Fairies and Leprechauns enchant the redwoods and hide amongst the moss.

I find it sad as we pass from childhood to adulthood some of the fantasy and whimsy leaves us and we are left with the cold black and white facts of life!

If I can’t see it, smell it or touch it then it isn’t real! I can’t touch sound but it’s there. I can’t see the internet but it’s there. I can’t smell actual air but it’s there. Sound reaches me though, the internet touches me and I can smell scents within the air!

I can’t see God. I can’t physically touch Jesus (yet) nor can I materialize the Holy Spirit. But I can see the works of my Father Gods’ hands every day. I can feel the warmth and love from Jesus every moment and I can hear the voice of the Holy Spirit as he prompts and leads.

Matthew 18:3 tells us that unless we are converted and become like children, that we will not enter the kingdom! Are we to regress and become infantile? No!

We are to live our lives in wonder, belief, and faith! Just because we can’t see Him, touch Him, or Smell Him does not mean He isn’t with us. Doesn’t mean He isn’t real.

Often things might not make sense and maybe they aren’t supposed to at the moment, that’s when childlike trust and faith is required. Put your logical mind to rest and let God restore the vision of your world. The world he has planned for you.

Father God, help us to believe like children, to allow ourselves to smile back at the flower or say hello to the hummingbird that’s floating right before our face. To simply slow down long enough to smell the flowers or take a walk in the rain breathing in your clean refreshed air. Help us, Lord to slow down long enough to look up and say hello!

Thank you for always being by our sides, even when we don’t realize you are there. In your love and name Lord Jesus, I pray with humbleness for all you are. Amen

I hope you can let your inner you come out and play this weekend. Grab a grandbaby, a niece, or a nephew, shock your babies and put your rubber boots on and go splash in the puddles…its a blast! Thank you for joining me on this cold wet and grey day. May you be filled with his loving warmth and may laughter fill your air. 🥰
