A New Dawn…

2 Samuel 23:4 ESV “He dawns on them like the morning light, like the sun shining forth on a cloudless morning, like rain that makes grass to sprout from the earth.”

I live in the Willamette Valley of the beautiful state of Oregon and the weather has been wet! Those who know the Northwest understand this is normal and often one needs to decide if you should take the Ark to work, leaving the car safely parked in the garage.

As I sat sipping coffee in my pink room this morning watching darkness turn to a pale blue, the sky adorned with whisper white clouds and a splash of peach I am reminded that our Lord is like the new morning light.

Lamentations 3:23 NLT “Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”

He is always with us, walks beside us during the day and watches over us as we sleep. Like the sun shining forth on a cloudless day, can you picture it? Bright blue summer sky, not a cloud in sight and the glow and warmth of the sun shining down on your face. That’s how God’s love and glory feel.

Yesterday has past and today is a fresh start. Dregs of yesterday may still linger and need attention, but today is a new beginning. So partner up with the creator and begin.

In our lives the rain is going to fall, storm clouds will ride the sky and we will feel the chill of life but we don’t have to stand under the cloud and drown. Look up, let the rain refresh and cleanse, then flip open your umbrella. Gods got this and so do you!

Be blessed today and thank you for joining me. 🥰

Thank You, Lord…

Thank you, Lord, for watching over me and mine as we slept.

Thank you, for being there when my eyes opened to a new day and fresh start.

Thank you, Lord, that you count yesterday over and done, and help me to do the same.

Thank you for your wisdom as I navigate the treacherous waterways of life.

Thank you for the shield of protection you surround me with.

Thank you for illuminating the path you would have me walk, thank you for holding my hand as I do so.

Thank you for your word, the words that speak life, love, forgiveness, peace, mercy, wisdom, instruction, hope, and eternity. Which eternity we receive you leave in our hands.

Thank you, for the prophecy that has already been fulfilled and the knowledge and warnings of prophecy being fulfilled right now and events yet to come.

Thank you for your protection, provision, and direction due to prophecy being played out right before our very eyes.

Thank you that I never walk alone as your shield and staff protect me and lead me down the path of righteousness. With you, I am never alone period!

Thank you for the home you’ve blessed me with here and my future home with you one day. A home filled with light, glory, peace, health, laughter, joy, kindness, beauty, and best of all you Lord!

Thank you for your sacrifice upon the cross, ripping the curtain that separated God from his people.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, as because of you we may boldly approach the throne of God!

Thank you for you, Lord, I love you…Amen

Be blessed today and have a great weekend! As always thank you for joining me. 🥰

Waiting…

Now here’s a word that brings instant disgruntlement and often anger.

We have become a society of instant! Right now, “I want it right now daddy,” exclaims Veruca Salt in the original Willy Wonka movie. She might be a little extreme but we can and more than likely have resembled her once or twice within our lifetime.

We can and are the same way with God! I want it now daddy! I have prayed for it, it’s a prayer within your will so; WHY haven’t I received, WHY is it taking so long, WHY haven’t I heard something, WHY can’t I just go, WHY isn’t their growth, WHY am I not in front, WHY, WHY, WHINE!!!

Why?

Lamentations 3:25 ESV “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Psalm 27:14 ESV “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord.”

Trust in the Lord.

Lean not on your own understanding.

Wait for the Lord.

Be strong and let your heart take courage.

Again, wait for the Lord!

I encourage you when in seasons of waiting upon the Lord that you remind yourself of all the times in your past that the Lord showed up at just the perfect moment, not a minute too soon or a minute too late!

Take the time to look back and recognize the steps, time, and growth God allotted you in preparation for your answered prayer or prayers.

So, possibly the next time your “Veruca darling” wants to come out and start demanding, frustration hovers, and tomorrow seems way too far off…stop yourself and remind yourself God isn’t through with you yet and your day of wait will one day end!

Psalm 37:4 ESV “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

I personally know it’s often very hard to wait upon the Lord and that is when Satan likes to ding the most. Don’t listen to the lies that God doesn’t care or hear our prayers because he does and if it’s taking a bit longer than you hoped for, have faith God is at work on your behalf and when he’s finished and your day arrives, it will be more then worth it!

Be blessed today and thank you for joining me. 🥰

The Number Changed…

It’s January third of twenty, twenty-two…and as I watched the news last night I realized that the only thing that changed was the number.

And me…

Naturally, the change of the date and the beginning of a new year isn’t going to take away the crime, killings, abuse, drugs, sex trafficking, hunger, fear, and the destruction caused by horrendous natural disasters.

No, the world is the same as it was yesterday, last week, last year, and centuries before.

However, we have the choice as to whether we remain the same! I can easily fall back into old habits and ways I am trying to change. I can choose not to catch myself before a careless word flies out of my mouth. I could let minor things get under my skin causing major irritation. I might allow myself to dwell on past events and relive the anger and mood that arrives with said memories.

Or…

I can see what’s happening, recognize the downward path and say a prayer before the spiral.

“Lord, please quiet my tongue before a damaging word escapes. I ask for your peace when people or circumstances are testing my limit of patience. Help me Lord, to look at today and see life, not dwell on yesterday that is over and gone. I know I can’t change the world but I have the power to change mine. I thank you for your strength, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, grace, favor, and mercy. I thank you for helping me apply those qualities to others. In your name Lord Jesus, I pray.”

Philippians 4:13 NLT “I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”

Philippians 4:7 NLT “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

This year I choose: peace, kindness, love and joy! Care to join me? Be blessed today and thank you for joining me. 🥰

Hide and Seek…

Genesis 3:9 NLT “Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

The man was Adam and where was he? Hiding! He had eaten from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil! In an instant Adam and Eve’s eyes were opened to a new emotion, that being, guilt and condemnation as they knew they had done something wrong. They had sinned against God!

They had one command from God, one, and they couldn’t even obey that, we were doomed from the start.

The verse I write from today goes on to speak of the Lord walking in the garden in the cool of the afternoon. This was a daily ritual with God, to walk in the beautiful garden of Eden with his male and female creation. The Lord God walked and talked with them, enjoying a friendship, a relationship.

Then slithers in the great deceiver. Did he deceive? Yes and No! He spoke the truth that eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of both good and evil would open their eyes to both. The deceiving was in the way he presented the forbidden fruit!

The same still goes today. We are tempted at every corner and junction in our lives. Satan will always make sin attractive; the pill to help you lose weight, the unmerited claims on your income taxes, the coworker who just understands you, the lie because you didn’t want to hurt someone…Satan has taught us well, how to justify!

Great, now what! That fruit turned out to be a delicious mistake, the weight is gone but now you are faced with an addiction, you are now getting garnished every paycheck because you owe back taxes, the affair that broke marriages and families into a million pieces.

This is when we automatically do what the first inhabitants did…we hide! We hide from people we hurt, we hide and we bow our heads in embarrassment and stop talking to God.

Thankfully, Our Lord loves us to much to let us hide for long! Keep your ears open because no matter what the sin, He still loves us and will seek us from our hiding spots…because He enjoys a relationship with you.

Be still and listen, He’s asking right now, “where are you?”

Thank you for joining me this Sunday…Be blessed! 🥰

It’s A New Year…

Happy New Year and Welcome 2022

The new year brings with it hope! Hope for a better year, hope for new beginnings and a fresh start.

Changes…

The hardest part of change is the responsibility on ourselves. We want things to be different, long for changes in situations, and desire changes within!

But…

Change isn’t going to happen by wishing upon a star, carrying a rabbits foot or finding a four leaf clover!

Change happens by desire, prayer and personal work!

Today is a great day to make a list of desired changes and then commit them to prayer. We need the Lords strength, direction and wisdom!

Matthew 26:41 ESV “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Today many new year resolutions will be made and within a week many will be forgotten but if you have challenges and changes you wish to make ask the Lord to partner with you.

Philippians 4:13 NLT “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”

Your change or changes might be huge and monumental or possibly simple and small…but change is change no matter the size.

I was blessed a couple of months ago by my daughter and youngest granddaughter being able to move home with us for a bit. I was used to quiet time in the morning for my devotions, coffee and Sunshine. I soon discovered that my quiet time became Minnie Mouse Bowtique and Bluey.

Changes…

Prayer, as I need to figure out a better solution…

I moved my brand new devotions and yearly Bible upstairs to my pink room…it’s a simple solution but it required me to accept circumstances and make a change that worked for me!

It’s not my family’s place to make me happy, peaceful or productive…it’s me and my relationship with the Lord, who generously irons out my wrinkles of life…you just have to seek his help, support, and guidance.

I am excited for the new year, always a bit timid as we don’t know what life holds for our tomorrow but as long as I walk beside my Lord, I’ve got this and so do you!

Thank you for joining me and May your New Year be Blessed!!!

Today I Pray…

Good Morning Dear Lord,

I sit here this morning, the Christmas lights warm the atmosphere with gentle colors. Old man winter visited last night and Jack Frost left his beautiful blanket of white upon the ground and foliage.

I bask in the warmth of my home, the love I received at Christmas, and the blessing of life within the circle of your arms Lord.

I pray Lord for a day of rest! The holidays are beautiful and festive and time to see friends and family, running here and there! I find myself tired and thankful for a day at home to reflect and appreciate.

I would ask Lord for the spirit of Christmas to remain in our hearts as we begin a new year. To grow closer to you every day and reflect you in our actions and attitudes.

I wish the twinkle lights could stay year-round. I wish that the spirit of your love could be felt and shared without a holiday producing such feelings. I wish the sparkle of joy and love would continue to seep out of us even after the lights go dark.

I wish we would remember that the birth of your son, Jesus Christ is the reason for the gold, the gifts, and the love! That gift is eternal, help us Lord to carry and share the gift of your son!

I love you, Father God, Lord Jesus, and Our Holy Spirit…

In your name I pray with Thanksgiving…Amen

I hope with all my heart your holidays were special and left you feeling loved. I hope all will recognize that Jesus is with us every day and every day He is Love! Be blessed today and thank you for joining me!

Happy Birthday Jesus ❤️

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).

Happy Birthday to You…

Happy Birthday to You…

Happy Birthday Dear Jesus…

I Love You ❤️

Merry Christmas and Praying a Blessed New Year!

Have a wonderful day and thank you for joining me! 🥰

Christmas Eve…

Today in the town of David
A Savior has been born;
We praise the Father of all mankind
For Jesus Christ, God’s Son!

Kneel before the holy babe
It was for us he came to save;
Give to him our wisest gifts
Gold and myrrh and frankincense.

Gold: Our money give unto Him
To help us serve in the world of sin!

Myrrh: To share in his sorrows and those of the world.
To love each other in one accord!

Frankincense: The adoration of a consecrated life,
Give to the Lord this sacrifice.

No greater gift was ever given
Than Jesus Christ come down from heaven;
Let thankful hearts rejoice in praise,
On this most holy day of days!

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift (2 Corinthians 9:15).

–By Lynn Moss

On this day the eve of the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ, I pray you will know and accept his gift of eternal life…through his birth…we too are invited to live.

Lord Jesus, I cherish this holiday not because of the tinsel and wrap but because of the most beautiful gift, You! I humble myself before you, asking you to come into my life, I wish to be reborn this eve, into your glorious heavenly family, that I too know that I will spend eternity with you. Thank you, Father God, for the beautiful gift of yourself! I accept you Jesus as my Lord and Savior, please forgive me of my sins, that I may start the new year fresh in your love. Amen

I hope and pray for warmth, peace, and love for you and yours! Thank you as always for joining me! 🥰

Be It Unto Me!

O blessed Virgin, rejoice!
An angelic voice
On the wings of joy
Brings a plea, a choice.

To undo the deed
Of the dark deceit,
Hidden on the tree,
Apple sought by Eve,
Falling unforeseen,
Our ancestral sin
Shall be healed by Thee.

How shall this be?
Light of Life in me?
God in flesh concealed,
Father’s will revealed,
The universe receives
The Son of God, indeed?

How shall this be?
Lord, I beg of Thee,
Hearken unto me!
How shall this be?

On Thy holy hill,
Thy celestial winds,
Life creating springs,
Streams of mystery,
Veiled eternity,
Lord, enlighten me!
How shall this be?

Lo, in the whirlwind
Time has ceased to be,
God’s awaiting Thee,
Holy mystery,
Silence deep within.

Just one word to hear,
Our salvation’s near,
The Virgin’s soul beams,
On her lips appear
Like the streams of Eden:
“Be it unto me!”
