Our God Knows…

It’s a known fact that being able to release one’s emotions is healthy. To keep things bottled inside eventually leads to an explosion or a total melt down.

We are blessed today to have so many avenues in which to learn and share our passions or pain. There are clubs, chat rooms, find what you need groups, churches, doctors, family, and friends.

The word for being able to share a persons experience is empathy! The ability to understand and share the feelings of another. I know this to be true; when I can share something with another who has experienced or experiencing the same thing, the connection is a full circle.

Do you know who else knows just how you feel? Just what you are going through? Who has walked your walk? Who has felt physical, emotional and verbal abuse? He who was perfect to only become broken and shattered. Jesus, that’s who!

Hebrews 4:15 NIV “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are – yet he did not sin.”

Hebrews 2:14 NCV “Since these children are people with physical bodies, Jesus himself became like them. He did this so that by dying, he could destroy the one who has power of death- the devil.”

Hebrews 2:16-17 NCV “Clearly, it is not angels that Jesus helps, but people who are from Abraham. For this reason Jesus had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every way so he could be their merciful and faithful high priest in service to God,”

So, you see…no matter what you are feeling, experiencing or having to go through. We have a God who feels your pain and shares your joy! So share!!! He’s the best friend and support group you’ll ever have or need.

May you be blessed today and thank you for joining me. 🥰

Sunshine Today

Good Morning; I write from the beautiful coastal town of Seaside, OR. My husband and I are down here camping for a couple of days. The weather calls for sunshine, mild breezes and temperatures in my comfort zone! Yay!!!

I need to feel sunshine. I am craving sunshine and wish to share a verse on behalf of our Lord’s beautiful giant yellow ball of warmth that he sends to earth and our hearts.

Jeremiah 31:35 NCV “The Lord makes the sun shine in the day and the moon and stars to shine at night. He stirs up the sea so it’s waves crash on the shore. The Lord All-Powerful is his name. This is what the Lord says.”

The scripture goes on to talk of his love of Israel and her descendants. But I felt this verse so fitting for my day. And…possibly the next time you stand in the sand, gazing out onto the beautiful blue ocean with the sun shining on your face, you might give God a thought or two and possibly a thank you for the glory of his creation. Remembering that you, too, are one of his beautiful creations.

I pray hope you have sunshine in your skies today but even more so within your heart. Thank you for dropping by and be blessed! I’m off to the beach, see you later. 🥰😎☀️

That Kind of Faith…

1 Samuel 17:45-47 NIV “David said to the Philistine, ‘You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you had defied. This day the Lord will hand you over to me, and Ill strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s and he will give all of you into our hands.”

1 Samuel 17:50 NIV “So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.”

We grew up hearing the David and Goliath story. It was my morning reading and as I read the verses again I was struck by David’s faith. Remember he is referred to as a boy in scripture during this time period. He helped his father tend sheep and also played the harp for King Saul. He’s cocky and sure of his ability to take care of his father’s sheep from predators. Why is this loud, mouthy giant of a man any different than a bear? Besides David carried the spirit of God within him!

For the Battle is not yours, but Gods – 2 Chronicles 20:15

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me – Philippians 4:13

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear – Psalm 27:1

The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still – Exodus 14:14

But my God shall supply all your needs – Philippians 4:19

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest – Matthew 11:28

We need to have the David kind of faith! No matter what giant you are facing, you need to know that you know you aren’t facing it alone. Take God with you onto those frontlines. Gather your five smooth stones, find that slingshot and face the day with God as your armor bearer! You can’t lose!!!

Be blessed, Be a blessing and Thank you for joining me…🥰

Answering Your Prayer!!!

We the people! Ha, nothing as serious as the Declaration of Independence, but we, the people, are funny creatures.

We pray for or about situations in our lives both good and bad. We offer up thankful prayers for the things and times in our lives that are smooth and pray for changes in the bad.

Here’s where I find a bit of amusement! We have needs or desires in our lives, in our world. So we offer up prayers, asking for changes.

Maybe you hate your job, it’s not only affecting you, your mental and physical state but it’s seeping into your home life as well. So, you begin praying for the right answers or direction. The next thing you know; you’re laid off, you’re fired, the plant has shut down, the business has closed its doors, guess what? God just answered your prayer!

You want to move! The home has gotten to small. The area no longer feels like home. Something is stirring in your spirit and the breeze starts moving your mind in a different direction or calling! The next thing you know, the house you’re renting just sold! Surprise, you’ve been chosen to open the new store and are being transferred! The company eliminated your position and they are moving you here! You received an unexpected financial blessing, guess what? God just answered your prayer!

Possibly boredom has set in! Same thing day in and day out! Nothing to really look forward to, no reason to put on makeup, no place to go and nothing is open anyway! The children’s ministry needs help, I love kids, hmmm! There’s a Bible study on Wednesday nights, hmmm! The public library holds coloring/coffee Saturday’s grab your favorite book and pencils go have coffee. You have girlfriends who read, start a book club! There are so many avenues. Why have you not noticed them before … because God just answered your prayer!

Isaiah 64:4 NIV “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him”

Mark 11:24 NIV “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

My point today is, when we pray to God, he hears our words, our hearts, our tears, and our desires. He moves on our behalf, so the next time change starts to happen in your world try changing your view…It just might not be a calamity…It might be God just answering your prayer!

Be blessed today and try and be a blessing! Thank you for joining me. 🥰❣️

Today I Pray…

Good Morning Papa God,

I bow before you in humble pose. I am your child, we are your children. I ask for the lightness of your spirit to cover us as a soft blanket would, to fill our spirit within us, as a summer breeze would fill our lungs.

I lift up to you people I love battling right now: Multiple Sclerosis that is raging a war on one’s body. Fibromyalgia is causing one severe pain and discomfort. The ones who’s parents are fighting health battles and their feelings of fear and helplessness. My dear friend who just buried a best friend. Those who live in fear of their family health lines attacking them one day and all of those fighting the ugly “C” word.

I lift up to you the single parents who are struggling to just get by with energy that was spent hours ago. The dual parents battling each other because they have different views—the many couples struggling over their diverse perspectives and their desire to be heard. I pray for those who no longer have a voice and for all the wrong voices screaming in our ears these days.

I pray for the police officers who are doing a job they love and are being hated because of it. I pray for the right decisions being made for us the people in our country, by our government. I pray for the frontline workers and especially the medical field who have been put to the test and ran the gauntlet.

I pray for your loving hand upon our broken hearts, homes and world. I pray for a revival of your church and the people who worship you. I pray our voices of your ways are louder then the ways of the world.

The signs are becoming more pronounced, the events are unfolding, now is the time to know the truth. I pray for all the hearts, eyes and ears out here. I pray for your wisdom, truths and ways to become my ways. I pray for your assistance in being your hands and feet, your voice.

I pray for those who join me that you would fill them full of your love, grace, favor and mercy. To you I give all the praise as your are so worthy. In your name Lord Jesus, I pray these things. Amen

Rest…

According to Oxford Languages “Rest” is defined as: cease from work or movement in order to relax, refresh oneself, or recover strength.”

Used in its noun form: an instance of relaxing or ceasing to engage in strenuous or stressful activity.”

It’s hard to rest in today’s society. There’s always something that needs to be done, someone to attend to, somewhere you need to go, and somehow you need to fit it all in this time frame!!!

I believe we need to teach ourselves to rest, to allow ourselves the time to do nothing. Nothing might be reading a book in a quiet spot, it could be rocking your baby or grand baby to sleep, setting by a babbling brook listening to the beautiful sounds of nature. It might be sitting on the beach gazing at the vast ocean or simply laying on a blanket in the grass, watching the clouds float by.

Rest doesn’t necessarily mean being immobile. We all have our definition of rest, but it boils down to peace in your spirit, mind, and body. Go plant some flowers, cast your fishing line, get the bike out…

Matthew 11:28-30 NIV “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Exodus 33:14 ESV “And he said, ‘My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Psalm 91:1-2 NLT “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.”

To put your trust in the Lord and to cast your cares upon him, leaving them in his capable hands to help guide and provide, allows you lots of rest. It doesn’t happen overnight, this trusting thing; we as humans need to learn to let go and let God. To be quiet as you learn to trust and to walk in the freedom knowing that…He’s more than capable of making sure you are o.k.

I pray for you the prayer of learning! Learning how to Rest… it is Saturday, and I hope you can start practicing today!

Be blessed, and my hope and prayer for you is a day of play, joy, and peace. Thank you as always for joining me. 🥰

Generation After Generation…

Eleven years ago today, my first blood grandchild was born. From the moment I received the phone call from my oldest son proclaiming the wonderful news, my heart fell in love with whom would become the first generation of my family line.

I was a first born grandchild and the only granddaughter so the perks were amazing but not near as amazing as the unconditional love I received from my grandparents and especially my grandma.

I grew up hearing the blessed memories my mother shared about her grandmother. I watched my mother as she became a grandmother. There is something so extraordinary about the generations that follow you: your bloodline, your family, your generation after generation.

Did you ever stop to consider we are Jesus’ generations? The Jews are his bloodline but through Jesus Christ all man, Jew or Gentile belong to him. You, too, can become his generation after generation.

Psalm 100:5 ESV “For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”

Luke 1:50 ESV “And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.”

Psalm 78:4 ESV “We will not hide them from our children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.”

Daniel 4:3 ESV “How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion endures from generation to generation.”

I hope you were or are adored by an elder in your family, loved by one or two of the older generation. Now, stop and put God in that chair, where grandma or grandpa sits, maybe a great aunt or uncle. The joy they feel over you, the time they love spending with you, the time they have to spend with you doesn’t even compare to the love, time, or attention of the One who created the generations in the first place!

It’s a blessed day as I celebrate My Bronsin’s birth…It’s a blessed day every day because God celebrates yours. Think about that, and thank you for joining me today. 🥰

Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide…

The most famous quote by Mr. Jiminy Cricket himself! From the Disney movie “Pinocchio.” It’s actually very good advice and our world would probably be a much safer, quieter and more loving place to live if we all did just that.

Paul in the book of Philippians speaks to the people of Philippi, offering very sound teachings as well, it would also do more of us good to heed.

Philippians 2:1-5 NCV “Does your life in Christ give you strength? Does his love comfort you? Do we share together in the spirit? Do you have mercy and kindness? If, so make me very happy by having the same thoughts, sharing the same love, and having one mind and purpose. When you do things, do not let selfishness or pride be your guide. Instead, be humble and give more honor to others then yourselves. Do not be interested only in your own life but be interested in the lives of others. In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus.”

These are some big shoes to fill, but we don’t have to fill them by ourselves; Jesus will be with us, guiding us each step of the way. The world is a mess, and it’s time for the Lord’s people to Show Up, Stand Up, Speak Up and Be Up!!!

We are God’s shining examples; what are your actions and words saying? You never know who is watching or overhearing you. We aren’t perfect and never will be but maybe if we let our spiritual conscience be our guide!!! We may lead others in the right direction as well.

Be blessed, try and be a blessing and thank you as always for joining me. 🥰

The Lord’s Prayer

Luke 11:1-2 NIV “One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” He said to them, “When you pray, say:

Dear Lord Our Father In Heaven

Hallowed Be Thy Name…Hallowed means Holy or Sanctified. You are claiming his sovereignty. 1 Samuel 2:2

Thy Kingdom Come…(this petition has two parts) first that his ways would take part and place down here with us as we walk this earth and secondly as we walk down here we walk with anticipation of when He returns, and one day Heaven and Earth become one. 1 Corinthians 13:13 and Revelation 21:1-4

Thy Will Be Done On Earth as it is in Heaven…God reigns our earth and us with love, compassion, and justice, and His will is that we would return that love, praise him, and reflect his love from us to others. Isaiah 30:18 and Matthew 22:37-40

Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread…We are not only asking for him to supply the nourishment food-wise for our bodies but also his word, which is the bread of life. Deuteronomy 8:3 and John 6:48-58

Forgive us our Trespasses (sins) as We Forgive Those Who Trespass Against Us…in this petition, we are asking the Lord to forgive us of our sins, and He in return is asking us to forgive those who have sinned against us. He expects us to give the same grace, favor, and mercy to others as we hope and wish to receive from him! Mark 11:25

Lead Us Not Into Temptation…I feel this should read, lead us away from temptation because God does not tempt us, Satan does. Temptations are sins that lead us away from God. So this portion is a request for his strength to resist when temptation arises and the power and desire to flee. 1 Corinthians 10:13

But Deliver Us From Evil…there’s a multitude covered here; evil from the world, the danger and the calamity we live in, to our evil thoughts, actions, fears, addictions, or anything that entangles and ensnares. Psalm 34:4

For Thine Is The Power and The Glory and The Kingdom of Heaven Forever…Amen”

So, the next time you feel the need to say a prayer but might be finding the words hard to form, say the prayer Jesus taught his disciples, and that will cover it and you. Be blessed today, and thank you for joining me. 🥰
