Grandchildren

My first-born grandson turns fourteen today! He is my heartbeat! He is my handsome. He is my Charles Bronsin. Happy Birthday, My Angel Face, I love you! šŸ„°ā¤ļø

Since my heart and mind are wrapped around the special event in my life today, I thought it might be fun to see what God says about these special people who fill our lives with so much joy, happiness, and lots and lots of love.

Proverbs 17:6 ESV: ā€œGrandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their fathers.ā€

Psalm 128:6 ESV: May you see your children’s children! Peace be upon Isreal.ā€

Psalm 103:17 ESV: ā€œBut the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting of those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children.ā€

Proverbs 22:6: ā€œTrain up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.ā€

2 Timothy 1:5 ESV: ā€œI am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.ā€

I was a Proverb 22 mom! I raised my children in a God-fearing home! Does that mean I was the perfect Proverb’s 31-woman? No! Does that mean my children didn’t see me fall or make mistakes? No!

But they did see a mom who tried her best to do what was right and to teach and train her children to respect and fear God! My dedication to God and giving my children over to him didn’t mean they didn’t rebel and make their own mistakes, but it did mean one day they would return to their upbringing. The Lord is always faithful to his children!

I bring the same values, teaching, and love to my grandchildren as I did to their parents. I would love to be like Lois and Eunice, known for my sincere Faith. Faith that was taught and shared with the generations that follow me!

All we can do is do our best and leave the rest in God’s hands. His hands are mighty; his hands are faithful!

Thank you, Lord, for your love and faithfulness to our children and our children’s children. Thank you for grandbabies! ā˜ŗļø
