Today I Pray

Thank you, Lord, Thank You!

As I sat pondering this morning; looking around my front room bathed in the warm morning light I was filled with peace and gratitude.

May our homes always be a place of comfort where you reside, a place of refuge tucked safely within your arms.

Thank you, Lord, for filling the walls of my home with your presence of love. I realize that that doesn’t mean strife and life won’t beat against its doors and that storms won’t rattle my windows. All the while, I do know you are my protection and shelter during those times.

Thank you, Lord, that I’m a grandma and grandpa’s house! I watch my grandchildren of all ages enter our home, and the sense of peace is immediate because it’s different at Grandma and Grandpa’s. Oh, to be able to walk into my grandparent’s home again. Thank you, Lord, for the memories and feelings I’m blessed to carry.

Thank you, Lord, for the daily things I take for granted; help me to take the time to recognize and share my daily blessings with you. Things like fresh air and knowing the sun will shine against beautiful blue skies today!

Thank you for the morning choir of birds singing outside my windows as the beginning of daylight starts to canvas the sky! Thank you for being within that canvas.

Thank you for the simple pleasures, Lord.

Thank you, Lord, for walking with me and talking to me throughout the day! Opening my eyes and ears to the glorious feeling and sounds of your kingdom down here! You created all of this for our pleasure and enjoyment; thank you for sharing this with us.

Jesus, I pray for those who have yet to meet you, for those who need to be reacquainted with you, and for those of us who gladly walk with you each day. I thank you for always seeking us. I thank you for always being with us! Thank you for this day; I’m blessed to share it with you. In your glorious name. Amen
