I picture a librarian index finger to lips followed by a shhhh!
That’s not quite the quiet I’m seeking even though the older I get the more I appreciate quiet and calm however the quiet I long for comes from inside, from my faith, from the Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 26:3 ESV “You keep him in perfect peace who’s mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”
Zephaniah 3:17 ESV “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
A mighty one who saves! Saves our souls, saves us from drowning in the pits we create, saves us from the enemy who is in constant prowl to devour, saves us from our trials and tribulations, and is the light in our darkness.
God, will rejoice over you…exult over you with loud singing! The definition of ‘exult’ is to hold something or someone in high regard; to think of or speak highly of…
God, rejoicing over us! Holding us in high regard! Thinking and speaking highly of us exclaiming with loud singing!
Think about that, aren’t those the same instructions we are given on how to worship God? To think that he loves us to the depth that’s kinship to worship! That is a deep and powerful love!
He will quiet you with his love! I saved this part of the scripture for last. I wanted to point out the depth of love, our Lord has for us, depth to the point of death. When you love that hard, when you are loved that hard; you can walk in quiet peace knowing that you don’t ever walk alone.
Dear Lord, I thank you for your love, a love so deep and perfect that I in my human form and mind can not truly comprehend. I do know the love I have for my children and my Children’s children, the depth I would go for them and that doesn’t even come close to the love and protection you offer. I thank you, Lord, for every day helping me to realize how much I mean to you thus helping me to live in your safe, peaceful quiet. Thank you for the quiet. In your name Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen
If your world is crazy, unsettled, and way too loud seek a quiet spot and lay down your cares and noise at the foot of the throne, thanking God for his help, them let go, and Let God!!!
Be blessed, be a blessing, and thank you for joining me. 🥰
