With head bowed and knees bent I come before you this morning Father God. I lay at your feet my shortcomings, my attitudes, my fears, my questions, and wonder! I have nothing to offer but my love and sincere desire to serve you.
I fall short of your kingdom and glory every day in so many ways that I often wonder why you still put up with me and live thankfully every moment that you do.
I thank you, Lord, for loving me just as I am right where I am. I thank you even more for never letting me stay there but are constantly moving me and growing within.
The times when you are working on our behalf, the raging battles in the heavenly realm often leave us feeling like you are gone, distant, not around. It can feel like our prayers are hitting the storm clouds above and bouncing back. I know this to not be true, you are always with us, we have the life of the Holy Spirit within.
So, if our prayers are hitting the ceiling we have two things to do! One, Lord help us to know what is going on within us that needs to be repented, restored, and received. Two, we need to trust that you are working on our behalf and reflect on the prayers we have presented that you are busy taking care of.
Your word tells us you will never leave us, nor forsake us! Help us to remember this when you seem distant and we feel lonely. Sometimes we talk and you listen…sometimes you talk and we listen…possibly quite possibly we are too busy talking that we can’t hear you!
I love you Lord and I thank you so much for your love. I pray these words today, on your blessed day, Sunday! May you hear and feel the bells and choirs singing your praises this morning. May you hear our hearts! In your name Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen
