Isolation…

Dearest Lord,

I come before you this morning with prayers against a new epidemic sweeping our world and emotions, and that’s isolation.

The pandemic and our government have purposely created so much fear within us that no one leaves their homes anymore. We wear masks across our faces, mentally assuring ourselves this will protect us! We sit or stand six feet apart in any given establishment. We are slowly being herded into total isolation and darkness.

Lord Jesus, I pray against the law of the land right now! I ask you, Lord, to please send in a strong wind to clear the dimming haze surrounding us. Dissipate the fog of loneliness and separation, blow open the doors of life again, Father God!

Please don’t let the media and our fears control us! Could you give us the strength and the resolve to get out, go out, breathe your fresh air, and continue to live the life you have planned for us!

I come against the stronghold of Satan’s hand over your children right now, Lord, breaking the chains that hold them down and that are drowning them within the four walls that scream: silence, aloneness, boredom, social anxiety, fear, dread, confusion, and lies.

I ask you, Holy Spirit, to fill us with the joy that comes from knowing we aren’t alone as we have you! Give us the power to claim boldly we will not succumb to the lies and tricks of Satan and his host of ugly little minions. We are children of the Highest God, and we will not be defeated!

In your mighty name Lord Jesus, I send this prayer to you! Send your army of angels to surround and conquer the world we are living in today! Amen

I have a couple of people in my world going through the ill effects of the isolation of this time in our lives. I see the walls closing in as they work from home, raise their children from home, all the while living at home. I can’t stress enough to get outside and take a walk, costs nothing and it’s incredible what happens when we breathe in the fresh air, seems like our woes become smaller with each breath, it doesn’t take them away but often brings a new perspective.
