God’s Names…Adonai

From Hebrew to the English translation, Adonai means “Lord.”

Adonai…Lord (a’ doan i)

Adonai refers to His sovereignty, relating to his omnipotence and authority.

Omnipotent: (of a deity) having unlimited power; able to do anything. (Oxford language)

Authority: the power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience. (New Oxford American Dictionary)

Just because He allows us to make our own decisions and that He is letting the world fall apart at the seams is not a reflection of his lack of interest or ability. He can, will, and is constantly working on our behalf, and even as his enemies wage war against him and his children every day does not change the fact that God is ultimately unstoppable. God can do whatever he pleases, whenever he pleases, and He rules over all!

As with Elohim, Adonai’s grammatical form is usually explained as a plural of majesty. In the Hebrew Bible, it is nearly always used to refer to God! (approx 450 occurrences) (Wikipedia.org)

So, in prayer, when you are addressing the God of the universe, the ultimate sovereign Lord. You might start with Adonai~Lord of All!

Be blessed, try and be a blessing and thank you for joining me. 🥰
