El Elyon…The Highest God
Psalm 57:2 NLT “I cry out to the God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.”
Genesis 14:22 NLT “Abram replied to the king of Sodom, ‘I solemnly swear to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,”
Psalm 78:35 NLT “Then they remembered that God was their rock, that God Most High was their redeemer.”
In all three of these scripture verses, there is an asterisk at the end of God Most High that takes us to a footnote at the bottom of the page stating, ‘the Hebrew translation for God Most High is El Elyon. (El El Yun)
The title of God Most High means simply that! There is no idol, god, or created being that is exalted above Our Lord God nor should there be any other worship other then To Our God Most High.
Take a moment to really think about the God you serve. He is the creator of the heavens and earth! He is above all! He is able to take care of you! If you are in mighty need call upon the Mighty!
